Create a wrapping station

Falalalalalalalala……. Happy Holidays, all!

Hi friends! It’s Noelle here today with a quick tip! I was SO very excited for wrapping presents this holiday season. I am a weirdo who enjoys buying and wrapping gifts, but for the last 8 years or so, I have wrapped presents on my very “glamorous” bedroom floor (not!).

Yes, amidst the latest baskets of clean laundry and dropped legos, I would sit, legs cramping, kept losing my tape, my pens, etc. Ugh! I was so very glad when I realized that THIS YEAR, due to my “new” (redesigned) craft room I had a lovely big flat standing height table to work on. Aaaaah. Such a relief for my poor back! 😉

So, I decided the easiest thing to do would be to bring all my supplies into the room and leave them there. Usually, I store my wrapping stuff in underbed storage boxes. I found this tall basket in my basement gathering dust and decided it would be perfect for holding gift wrap and bags.

I also found another divided basket in my basement, and I used it to store tags, twine, pens, scissors, and tape.

Maybe you can create a wrapping station somewhere in your home, too! We wish you a Very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, and Festivus from all of us at CSI! We will be back after the holidays with more great storage ideas! 🙂

Also, don’t forget, we are accepting applications for our Contributor Team! More details are RIGHT HERE!

Craft Room Tour {i lived on wisteria lane}

I don’t exactly have a craft room for you to tour today but over on wisteria lane there’s some organizational goodies that I wanted to share with you.  Hollie from I Lived on Wisteria Lane has some amazing talents and organizing is one of them.

I first wanted to share her Wrapping & Shipping center.

Everything she needs to wrap and ship a package is right here. All the dividers are spring tension rods – cheap and no screws! The original post is here and the more detailed post is here. I can think of lots of uses for these tension rods, might be an organizational gold mine!

Here is Hollie’s sewing room. I love her style, it’s Audrey Hepburn meets sewing.

Check out her complete post with additional photo’s here. You’ll never guess where her fabric rolls are stored!

Have a great and crafty weekend!

Craft Room: the Crafted Sparrow

Hi Everyone! It’s Cicily with a beautiful craft room to show you today. I came across Becca’s trendy room, the Crafted Sparrow, on Pinterest.

She turned her formal living room into her very own crafty space.

Becca painted her dark furniture black for a uniform look and her latest pride and joy is her Chalky Finish white craft table that takes center stage in her room.

Her fabrics are housed in these bookshelves, with her favorites on display in the wire baskets.

Like most of us, Becca admits to a wrapping paper addiction. I love her simple solution, this basic linen hamper.

Check out Becca’s complete craft room tour on the Crafted Sparrow blog here! Tell Becca CSI sent you.

I’m sure you will love her space as much as I did!
