Storage Solution Roundup: Embossing Folders

Hello CSI fans! It’s Cicily with a Storage Solution Roundup for you today. I’m not sure how many of you are like me, but I am a hoarder collector of things, especially everything scrapbooking.  Sometimes knowing that is a good thing and it keeps me from starting a collection. Case in point, I held off on buying and using washi tape. For whatever reason I finally caved, probably cause it’s just so darn cute, and within a short amount of time I had an obscene number of washi rolls! See my collection and storage solution here.

It was somewhat the same with Embossing folders. I’ve yet to figure a storage solution so I’m doing today’s roundup not only for you our loyal followers but also for me to get some ideas.

The first idea is from Karli of Crafting with Class.  She used a recipe box for those smaller embossing folders.

Here’s a really cute double box with a SVG file and tutorial from Bits of Paper.

How about a Clip it Up Wall Mount above your embossing machine and hanging your folders! Great idea from Natasha of Moments of Tranquility.

Or a binder with top loading recipe card holders? This was Jane’s idea from MilliesMarvels. She said the cuttlebug fit perfectly, but the sizzix are a tight squeeze.

Here’s a ready-made solution from Consumer Crafts. It holds 40 embossing folders!

Now I have too many choices to choose from! I’d love to hear or see how you organize your folders. Leave a comment and let me know.

Product Highlight: EZMount Stamp Storage Panels and EZBinders

I am a huge fan of binders for organizing. I talk about them all the time over at my blog. They work well for papers, but also for storage as well. If you can’t access your supplies easily and be able to find what you are looking for, you will probably not use much of what you have. Also, you may end up buying duplicates.

For today’s product highlight I am sharing a product  I think will help many of us that use stamps. It utilizes one of my favorite tools for organizing – the binder. Crafter’s Companion makes these great EZMount Stamp Storage Panels that can be used in one of their EZBinders.

These binders are really great in that they are fully enclosed. They have a locking clip on the side to keep them shut tight, so none of your items fall out. They are made of plastic so they protect your stamps (or metal die-cuts) from the elements. Who wants to dust all those little stamps?

The EZMount Stamp Storage panels will allow you to mount any temporary mount stamps. You can adhere stamps to both the front and back. You could sort your stamps by theme, holiday, or even designer.

The trend in stamps seems to be moving away from wooden mounted stamps to acrylic stamps. I love these because they are clear so you can see exactly where you stamp. They are also perfect because they do not take up much space. And now you have an easy solution for storing and organizing your stamps.

Do you use acrylic stamps and if so, how do you organize them?

Is it possible to have too many Thickers? {Green Horned Unicorn}

Is it possible to have too many Thickers?  I think we all know the answer to that question.  Thickers and air to breathe are pretty comparable in my world.  What about you?

Having those same Thickers organized in an easy and pretty way….even better.  Enter Antonia at Green Horned Unicorn.  She turned this rather plain photo album….

Pioneer 3-Up Photo Album

into this.

and then added these.
