Washi Tape Dispenser Review by Sharon, and Show Us ***YOUR*** Happy Place-Week 3!

Happyplacegraphic

Welcome to Week 3 of our “Show Us Your Happy Place” promotion!

Here is a great product review by Sharon. 🙂

Hi everyone, it’s Sharon here today to share with you my product review from Recollections.  I was sent one Washi Tape Dispenser set and a pack of Crafting Tape to try.

washi1

Firstly, I like the white finish of the dispenser. I have mostly white furniture in my craft room, and this will sit on my desk next to my white rotating carousel unit, so it fits in perfectly. You could very easily paint this to tie in with your colour scheme though if you wanted to. However, the thing that I like most about this unit is the fact that you can add to it. There are holes at the top and bottom so that you can slot another unit on top as your collection grows – and as they stack on top of each other, the unit wouldn’t take up any more desk space. I’ve made the mistake before of buying storage solutions that I’ve outgrown and had to totally replace with something different, so this is a huge plus for me.

I don’t actually have a huge collection of washi tape yet, (but I’m sure it won’t be long before I’m buying another one of these as I am seeing a lot of nice washi tape projects at the moment). Here’s how the unit looks now I’ve filled it up – as you can see, I can probably get another 3 or 4 rolls on before I need to get another unit.   I really love the bright, zingy colours of the Recollections washi tape and I already have plans to use some of this to liven up my planner pages.

I’m really impressed with this tape storage, and will definitely be adding to it as my collection of tapes grows.

The thing we are MOST interested in seeing is creative & useful storage solutions in the rooms of real crafters and artists. The rooms do not have to be fancy or magazine worthy to catch our eye or win the contest. Please share your happy place, we would LOVE to see it! Also, please feel free to enter again this week if you entered in past weeks and didn’t win! We have LOVED all the spaces we’ve seen-so, don’t be shy! 🙂

Ribbon Organizer Review by Suzanne, and Show Us ***Your*** Happy Place-Week 2!

Happyplacegraphic

Welcome to Week 2 of our “Show Us Your Happy Place” promotion!

Now for a great product review by Suzanne!

Hello, crafty friends! This is Suzanne from Scrapbooking Sue, here today with a product review from Organize More. I had the pleasure of trying out the 12-cubby Ribbon Organizer from Organize More recently, and let me tell you, I was impressed! First of all, this is how the Ribbon Organizer came out of the box…

Ribbon Organizer 1

…fully assembled! Who wouldn’t love that? Not only was it ready to go out of the box, but it also had the hardware (sawtooth hangers) mounted on the back for wall mounting, and felt feet on the bottom to keep your desk/counter scratch-free. I love that the folks at Organize More have taken their product a step further and really prepared it for all of our needs.

Ribbon Organizer 2

I could not wait to get started filling the cubbies with ribbon, and soon found my very favorite feature of the Ribbon Organizer…. I did not have to thread my ribbon spools through any dowels! I hate having to take my entire ribbon system apart once a spool of ribbon has ended, just to take the empty spool off of the dowel. Well, with the Ribbon Organizer, that is not a problem! Each spool of ribbon sits comfortably on the shelf, and the only dowels present are the ones that hold your spools in place! When you need a spool of ribbon off the shelf, it is super easy to take it off and put in back in its place. And, just look at all of the different sizes of ribbon spools it holds.

In the picture above, I showed how the wooden dowel can be used for more than just keeping your spools from rolling off the shelf. If you like to unroll your ribbon in a controlled manner and have it at the ready at all times (no searching for the ribbon ends), then you can thread the end of the ribbon under the dowel and it will securely hold it in place for you!

Ribbon Organizer 3

Personally, I like to take each spool off of the shelf when I am using it, so I did not take the time to thread each ribbon end under the dowels… but it is always an option! This is a picture of my Ribbon Organizer fully stocked! Organize More also makes Ribbon Organizers in smaller (6 cubbies) and larger (20 cubbies) sizes to meet your needs. Plus, you could always stack the organizers side-by-side, on top of one another, or mount on the wall to save desk space.

I really love this product! It keeps my ribbon neat and organized, and very easily accessible. And best of all, I ditched the dowel! You can find out more about this Ribbon Organizer and other products at the Organize More website.

Now, since you’ve read the review by our fantastic Suzanne, you can link up YOUR happy place at the bottom of the post from now until Thursday afternoon (October 16). The winner for this week will receive an identical Ribbon Organizer of their very own from our friends at OrganizeMore!

Our newest sponsor and a big announcement!

omtitle133

I’m thrilled to announce our newest sponsor, OrganizeMore!  OrganizeMore is a family business started in 2007 – here’s a little bit more information, directly from Mike & Chrissi!

Chrissi’s need for storage solutions prompted us to experiment with organizers for her products. After getting numerous requests from friends, we decided to list a few items on Ebay and they literally sold overnight! OrganizeMore was born.

From the start, we commited to take the extra time to completely finish our organizers so a customer will receive a really clean and cute product right out of the box. We offer nine cheerful colors to compliment any craft space. The organizers are lightweight, durable, and easy to clean.

What was a part-time income for years has now become a full-time venture. We are excited as we move into the next phase of hiring employees! We are preparing to offer many new products in the very near future as well as continue to offer giveaways thru our Facebook page and other social media avenues. We are so thankful to all who support us!

I can’t wait for all of you to see more of their products!  And you have the opportunity….because…we are giving away THREE of their fantastic pieces next week during the:
Spring Blog Hop Banner
Yep – that’s right!  We are having a blog hop.  And there will be prizes!  I can’t wait for Monday!
